Session Details
Option 1: White water tubing
Guided white water tubing session on the river Teifi. We use tubes to go down a section of grade 2 rapids, these are fed by rain water and change from more to less bumpy river levels pedendant. But great fun for everyone all tear round.
Duration:
2.5 - 3 Hours
Session times:
0930-1230 / 1330-1630 (arrivals to farewells)
Distance:
Varied we go by the groups ability on the day
Location:
We will send the meeting location
in the conformation email.
Minimum age:
Recommended age of 8+ but this is flexable as
every person has different abilites.
Adverse condition:
If the water is to rough to make a safe trip we will adapt
the session or change to an alternative session / location.
We can still do the session in the rain.
We will provide you
with:
- Full winter wetsuit
- Buoyancy aid
- Helmet
- (in the colder months we add more neoprene to more skin to make the session even better)
You will need to
bring:
- Shoes which will get wet, old trainers are best, idealy they have a good sole and dont come off easily.
- Towel
- Swimming costume
- Shorts to go over the wetsuit
Swim ability:
None
requried, as you will float in the all the
equipment. Please advise us if you are a non swimmer or
nervous in the water so we can best cater for you during
the session. There are sections where you can be 4 meters
from the nearest bit of land however if there is a current you may travel along with the current and instructor.
White Water Tubing in West Wales.
Since the invention of the wheel a few years back not a lot of changes have been needed. One to mention how ever is the inner tube it was made for the purpose of giving people pleasure by giving them a nice ride.
Take it out of a big wheel, cover it in some fabric, add a couple of handles and what have you got? A Wheely good time.
How the Session runs:
- You meet your guide, get kitted up in full winter wetsuits and some protective equipment for water activities
- Listen to the safety brief.
- Practise controlling it on the flat water
- Head down the rapids
We head through rapids where everyone finds how thrilling mixing white water and tubes can be. After spending many years heading down the rivers, we have found the best places to go tubing in West Wales. For most of the trip you will find yourself laughing with and at your friends as we play in water features.
